Design a productive and relaxed atmosphere!

Don’t overlook your office and create spaces that will inspire…

When you run a business, productivity matters. How much does your office design affect productivity? You may or may not be surprised to know that it can majorly affect the productivity and creativity of your employees! When you spend the majority of every day driving to the same building, walking to the same desk, staring at the same computer, surrounded by the same grey desk and same neutral walls, and the same bland colour palette (an office characteristic that is all too common), you’re bound to find your thoughts running in the same uninspired circles.

There are many design tactics you can use to break that visual and mental pattern. Today we’re focusing on creating work lounges and that coffee shop atmosphere.

No matter how beautiful your desk space is, there will be times when a change of scenery is in order. Encourage your employees to move away from their desk and interact with co-workers by creating an office lounge. A lounge is defined as a public room or space in which to sit and relax. By introducing that coffee shop atmosphere into your office, you will find your employees happier to come to the office, inspired to have beautiful spaces to spend their days, more open to interacting and sharing ideas and enjoying their jobs. Happy employees make for a successful business after all!

Here are our top 5 looks to help you create the perfect look for your inspired lounge and to bring in those coffee shop vibes:

Play with table heights and materials to bring visual interest to the room. Use colour and comfortable seating and light up the room artwork and stay away from harsh lighting. Maybe even add some soft background music? The sky is the limit when it comes to create a new space!
